The video looks at the politics of remembering without excluding the space for forgetting. The hierarchy between memories and real events is dissolved. The collective memory of people is seen as a reflection that runs from the personal to the political. The memory of intimate bodily violence, experienced everyday in the Northeast India, a region of imposed imagined geographies, pushed into the periphery of a nation's imagination. This video was made as part of a Khoj Delhi associate residency 2005 by Sonal Jain and Mriganka Madhukaillya.
