Video Installation

“Body Desire” is a multi - part video Installation of human desire for transformation; the concept of one’s body is part of our social construct. This body of work is about transformation from male to female, it is an attempt to emphasize on the concept of Gender as performivitvity. Videos display this notion of performivitvity through Hijra’s doing make up and usage of repetitive pattern of images, experimental background sound. Intimate conversation about their desire, fear and hatred displayed through red-wine-bound chair and other piece with chair floating in water. This is an effort to know another human being; the issue of rights, gender and sexuality are part of this complexity.
